Double Voice Poem: "We"
In the Beginning
In the end
We created
We Destroyed
We gave life
We used it
We learned to believe
We learned to forget
A crag of moss
Sinks into mud
Under a heavy step
The coarse made smooth
We began
We continued
We dug out
We filled in
We found
We lost
We left
We remained
All the towers built
All the seas crossed
All the loves conquered
Will fold into the Sun
We made rules
We changed them
We hunted
We ran
We labeled sinners
We evaporated sin
We punished
We forgave
Outside a house
On a small strip of sand
A man holds his child
Awaiting the final wave
In the end
We created
We Destroyed
We gave life
We used it
We learned to believe
We learned to forget
A crag of moss
Sinks into mud
Under a heavy step
The coarse made smooth
We began
We continued
We dug out
We filled in
We found
We lost
We left
We remained
All the towers built
All the seas crossed
All the loves conquered
Will fold into the Sun
We made rules
We changed them
We hunted
We ran
We labeled sinners
We evaporated sin
We punished
We forgave
Outside a house
On a small strip of sand
A man holds his child
Awaiting the final wave
